Summer Speech & Debate Opportunity for Rising 5th through 8th Graders!

Former Floris Elementary student and former RCMS debater, Evan Meade, who is currently the "best-delegation" winner of the South Lakes Model United Nations team is offering his summer speech and debate program for the 3rd year in a row. This program is open to rising 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and is an excellent opportunity for students looking to try out for the RCMS debate team or to gain confidence and skills with speech and debate. The JCC is gearing up to prepare for our biggest event of the year: a Japanese Children’s Day Festival called “Matsuri”. We are coordinating with the PTA, School admins and JI teachers for the event, however, Matsuri will not be a success without support from parent and student volunteers! We have various activities to cover! Please consider volunteering for a time-slot so that everybody will have a great time. Play and dine with us at Matsuri! Wristbands for children are required for admission ($5 pre-order, $10 at the door), and will give children access to games, crafts, calligraphy, trying on kimonos, Japanese traditional dance, and more. Adult supervision is required, but there is no cost for adults to enter the event. Choose one (or MORE) of our delectable Japanese dishes from our local Japanese restaurant.
