We are just 5 days away until our Fox Mill Fun Run! There is lots of excitement among students and teachers! All students will be receiving their Fun Run t-shirts this week. Would you and your family like to make a difference in the community? The PTSA at South Lakes High School has been addressing food insecurity in our community since 2017 through the PTSA Pantry. It not only supports South Lakes students and families but more than 120 students and 170 families from all over our pyramid come to the Pantry every Thursday to receive food, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. We invite and welcome all parents to our Japanese Cultural Committee (JCC) meetings, generally held the 2nd Thursday of each month from 9:00 am - 10:30 am in our school cafeteria. We are excited to continue the planning process for some of our favorite Japanese cultural events like Japanese Art Week and the Matsuri festival for our students and their families. We have a variety of ways you can volunteer to help plan and facilitate these special events. If you're not able to attend the JCC meeting in person, consider our optional online meeting in October and please be on the lookout for future emails with updates and volunteer opportunities.
