Welcome Back Message from our PTA President!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2019/2020 school year at Fox Mill Elementary! My name is Matt Hickes (pronounced like ficus with an “H”) and I am your PTA President. I served last year on the PTA board as Treasurer and have three boys at the school in 6th, 4th and 2nd grade. I am looking forward to a fantastic year at Fox Mill, serving our school, teachers and students.

The Fox Mill PTA is comprised of parents just like yourself that want to ensure their children have the best possible experience in their days at Fox Mill Elementary. We encourage you to become actively involved, to be a part of, and enjoy our activities. Involvement is one of the best ways to build relationships through the school: with teachers and staff, with other parents, and with your child’s classmates.

 The PTA raises a significant portion of Fox Mill’s discretionary money to support critical initiatives that would otherwise go unfunded. We provide important resources and programs to Fox Mill students. Last year, between fundraising and generous donations, we were able to help replace and update technology for the school. This included replacing outdated computers and technology carts as well as providing additional resources for STEAM curriculum in the school.

Our 2019/2020 goal is to raise funds to provide increased technology in the school both in the form of computers and hardware as well as software and curriculum. In order to fund these important initiatives for our school, we need your continued support. The Fox Mill PTA raises money in a few different ways: membership fees, flat donations, activities and fundraisers. We are always looking for new and creative ways to help raise money for our school. Please reach out to myself or other PTA board members with any fundraising ideas you may have.
