The federal presence in our area and the significant tax exemptions available to federally connected personnel, businesses, and agencies has qualified Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) to be eligible for federal Impact Aid grants. The Federal Impact Aid survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S Department of Education.  These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers. The more federally-connected students a school has, the more that school earns in grant dollars. Please read on for more information.

FMES will be hosting a food drive to support the South Lakes Food Pantry the week of November 13 - 17th. A collection bin will be in the front lobby of the school and if we collect 100 lbs as a whole school then all students will receive a prize!
